Kash Patel named NSC Senior Director for Counterterrorism after Nunes memo role

Kash Patel was promoted to Senior Director for Counterterrorism on the National Security Council in August 2019, after initially joining the NSC staff in February 2019. Before entering politics, Patel worked as a national security prosecutor at the Department of Justice under the Obama administration.
