Noem refuses to retract domestic terrorist label for Pretti and Good at Senate hearing
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee and repeatedly declined to apologize for calling Minneapolis shooting victims Alex Pretti and Renée Good domestic terrorists, even when pressed by Pretti's parents in the hearing room. Noem claimed she was relaying information from agents on the ground and said she did not call Pretti a domestic terrorist but rather described the incident as "appearing to be an instance of" domestic terrorism, despite video evidence to the contrary. Senators from both parties demanded her resignation.
