Trump signs Executive Order 14203 imposing sanctions on ICC; Treasury freezes assets of chief prosecutor Khan

The Treasury Department imposed financial sanctions on the International Criminal Court, freezing ICC-associated assets in U.S. financial institutions and barring American banks from processing ICC transactions. The action was taken under Executive Order 13928, which Trump had originally issued in 2020 and re-invoked in his second term. The sanctions targeted the ICC in response to its investigations of U.S. allies and its arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
