Analyze the role and interactions of the state of New Hampshire and local governments within the framework of the US Constitution, including the principles of federalism and the division of powers between national and state governments

New Hampshire Minimum Standards for Public School Approval (Ed 306) and Civics Education requirements per SB 216 (2023) and RSA 193-C. Requires nonpartisan civics education beginning no later than 8th grade and continuing in all high schools. Graduation requirements: one credit US and NH History plus one-half credit US and NH Government/Civics. Students must attain locally sanctioned passing grade on competency assessment AND 70 percent or better on 128-question USCIS civics naturalization examination. NH Civics Education Commission provides oversight, implementation, curriculum, and professional development with assurance of evenhandedness. Defines civics as civic knowledge, civic skills, and civic dispositions.
