Most controversial adoption in recent history with nearly 2 years of process, 1,300+ public comments, hours of testimony across four hearings, and 5-2 Board vote. Integration of state, tribal, and reservation history into American History. Optional one-semester elective on South Dakota and Native American History and Civics.
